My son is now willing to change any clothes except his badminton uniform, washed and worn, no change to other clothes. He likes it so much, and we are going to add one more class this semester.

Although she (coach Zheng) is the coach of the (Chinese) national team and world champions, she teaches the kids with great dedication and hands-on demo.

We are excited to announce an upcoming badminton umpire training, and warmly invite all interested parents and badminton enthusiasts to participate!
In order to promote youth badminton development in Houston and help reduce travel costs for competitions, we hope to host more USAB (USA Badminton) sanctioned youth ranking tournaments locally. To make this happen, having a sufficient number of certified umpires is essential.
That’s why Schafer Badminton Academy is covering the cost to invite a certified USAB umpire to Houston to lead this training. The goal is to help interested participants become qualified and eligible to officiate in future USAB events—an important step toward hosting more local ranking tournaments.
This training is free and open to all parents and community members. After completing the session, those who are interested in becoming certified USAB umpires can proceed with the official licensing process individually.
Training Details:
• Date: Saturday, May 10
• Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Location: Schafer Badminton Katy
24825 Roesner Rd, Katy, TX 77494
• Lunch: Provided after the training
• Practical Session: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
On-site observation and practicum at the Katy tournament venue

Ready for a summer full of fun and growth?
Schafer Badminton Academy’s Summer Camp is now open for registration!
Programs will be held at both Katy and Stafford locations, perfect for players aged 5 and up at all skill levels.
Camp Dates:
• Katy: May 26 – August 1, 2025
• Stafford: June 2 – August 1, 2025
Program Schedule:
• Full Day (4 hours): 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Half Day (2 hours): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Highlights:
• World-Class Professional Coaching Team (Olympians, Top 30 World Ranking Players)
• Fun, Skill-Based, and Structured Training
• Badminton, Fitness Games, and Engaging Activities
• Open to All Levels (Ages 5+)
